Batmobile Lives on for Charity through Foddrill Construction

How many people can say they own a replica of the 1966 Adam West Batmobile? Foddrill Construction (FC) owner, Leonora Foddrill can. Leonora and her late-husband, Jimmy Foddrill, made the decision to purchase the vehicle from Fiberglass Freaks with the intention of donating the vehicle for photo opportunities for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society events. Two years after, Jimmy was diagnosed with Leukemia. “I had no idea when he first requested it [the Batmobile]. This is why it’s so important to me to get the car out there, especially for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to really make a difference for charity.” Shares Leonora. After his passing, Leonora has kept the vehicle and donates it to charities such as Relay for Life, Bark for Life, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Children’s charities, among others. Foddrill Construction Lit the Night

Foddrill construction recently participated in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Light the Night in honor of Leonora’s late husband, Jimmy Foddrill, who passed away in 2014. Over 5,000 participants joined together at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. “It was a commitment on my part to continue to fight for those who are still fighting the battle and to support those caregivers and family members who are still going through the battle, and fight with them.” shares Leonora Foddrill, founder of Foddrill Construction. Lanterns during the event are representative of where someone is in their battle with cancer. Red symbolizes supporters, Gold is symbolic to those who have passed and white lanterns represent those who are currently battling or are survivors.
